Pumpkin Bread

This is an old Bettie Crocker recipe.

Pumpkin Bread

2 c flour
1 c brown sugar
1 T baking powder
1 t cinnamon
¼ t each salt, baking soda, and nutmeg
1/8 t ground cloves
1 c pumpkin
½ c milk
2 eggs
1/3 c shortening
½ c walnuts
½ c raisins (I omit)

Combine dry ingredients. Add the rest except the nuts; beat on low until blended, then on high 2 min. Add the nuts and pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 60-65 min. Cool 10 min before removing from pan.
