This is a very quick, easy marinade that I got from Food Network. Absolutely delicious and perfect for easy weeknight meals!
Simple Marinade for Salmon
2 T low sodium soy sauce
2 T pure maple syrup
1 T orange juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
Just combine and add the fish for 30 minutes or so. Then cook the fish however you want.
For the photo above, I took the salmon out of the marinade, cut it into portion sizes, and dusted with a little Old Bay and fresh cracked pepper. I heated a large saute pan on high heat, added a little extra virgin olive oil around the pan, and added the fish, skin side up, to sear. Once the fish was ready to flip (meaning once it released and was no longer stuck to the pan – this is how food lets you know it’s ready to flip when you’re searing!), I flipped the fish to skin side down and threw the whole pan into a 425 oven for ~6 minutes. Easy!
